Our client, a highly reputable Consulting firm assisting on legal and regulatory matters, is seeking a Corporate Lawyer with a focus on Maltese Tax Law to join at senior level.

Key Duties:

  • Advise clients on legal & regulatory developments, specifically with regards to the Maltese Tax System
  • Draft and administer all contracts, along with correspondence to relevant authorities
  • Supervise and  train staff in procedures, while reviewing work completed by employees within the legal department
  • Assist with the business development and expansion of company services to existing and potential clients
  • Communicating with company clients in a professional and timely manner
  • Travelling abroad for conferences, client meetings, and company promotion events 
  • Develop company policy and position on legal issues
  • Research legal risks, ensuring that the company anticipates and guards against while compliance is met with rules and regulations
  • To demonstrate and develop full awareness of legal content regarding Malta Tax law and similar areas

 

Position Requirements: 

  • Experience as a Corporate Lawyer with a high degree of knowledge in Maltese Tax law
  • Possess excellent communication skills and command (both verbal and written) of both English and Maltese
  • Demonstrate key negotiation and client relationship skills
  • High administrative and managerial capabilities
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT literate
  • Confident, proactive and inspiring, capable of independent work yet able to operate as part of a senior team
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and within a multi-cultural work environment 

 

Candidates must hold a Doctor of Law (LL.D.) degree and a current licence to practice law in Malta.
